Re: [chchskeptics] draw muhammad day

Hi,

There is no sense in anybody leaving Skeptics in the Pub over this.

Skeptics in the Pub is a collection of individuals who have come
together to promote skepticism, fight pseudoscience, and have fun
together.

Some of us are religious, some are not, some like being provocative,
and some do not.

People who want to draw Mohammed (PBUH) on Draw Mohammed Day will do
so. This shouldn't be considered to be an "official" SitP activity.

I'm probably not going, nobody has to. Those who want to go can, and
I'm guessing that they would do so irrespective of their involvement
in SitP.

It is good to know that a group like SitP exists. We need it to exist.
Society needs more rational, skeptical people who are willing to band
together to achieve things together. But SitP is a group of people
and, because of this, it is nothing without its members; it would be a
shame to see anybody leave over Draw Mohammed Day. That doesn't seem
to be a worthy sword to fall on.

May you all have a fantastic month, whether or not you are drawing
Mohammed.

In love and skepticism,
Iain.
