I'd put it more that you do have the right to shout "fire". It's just that other people also have the right not to be trampled in an unnecessary stampede. We should do our best to encourage situations where different people's rights align and avoid situations where they clash.

I hope not. Benjamin's clarified (sorry to put words in your mouth, Benjamin) that he doesn't intend for the event to be associated with skeptics. He just (I think) thought that people who come to Skeptics in the Pub might also be interested in it.

Yes, certainly. I'd hate for this to be just about what people have a right to say. My concerns are only about whether it's a good idea to do so.
