RE: [chchskeptics] draw muhammad day

Hi – It is not about Muslims leaving their culture & relocating to the west, as much as allowing the principles of free thought & free speech to infiltrate Muslim cultures at a fundamental level – in other words we should continue to set an example of tolerance, even when this is uncomfortable, while also showing that a better life is had by those that do embrace tolerance.

I agree that religion has no place in education, or in legislation, and neither does not deserve charitable tax status.

Tolerance extends simply to politeness, respectfulness and non-discriminatory interaction – acknowledging that all people do silly things, and should be allowed to go on doing silly things that don’t hurt others.

At it’s best, superstition is part of our charm as a species.

Cheers

?The outside world needs to be a welcoming and tolerant rather than threatening place.?

Don?t know about that Paul, the outside world needs to clearly state what we stand for if Muslims wish to live in our culture.

We have a way of life that is different to theirs. When we go to their lands, we should respect their choice of a way of life, and they should respect ours.

I don?t think we should be tolerant of an intolerant culture such as Islam.

Islam will become the major world religion as Christianity dies out.

We need to lay out the ground rules for living in a free country such as ours, and this applies to all religions.

The first place to start is to remove religion from education.

I am sorry if I offend anyone who believes in a God but the time has come to say goodbye to imaginary friends and all the mumbo jumbo that accompanies them.

Cheers

Marc
